Christmas Past Meets Christmas Present

Christmas past meets Christmas present on historical Grierson Avenue on Fort Huachuca, December 6. Stroll the streets of “old post” and tour homes dating back 125 years. This once a year event, hosted by the Fort Huachuca Community Spouses’ Club, is a chance for the public to tour eleven homes on Arizona’s Historical Society’s register. Each home is unique in design and is decorated for the holidays. The homes, occupied by active duty Army Officers and their families to include the Commanding General of Fort Huachuca, are nestled against the Huachuca Mountains and give visitors a unique glimpse into the past.

Visitors also have the opportunity to view Brown parade field—the site of many Cavalry charges, the Fort Huachuca Historical Museum, and begin a walking tour of the “Home to the Buffalo Soldier” at Legacy Plaza—a mere step away from Grierson Avenue.

Tickets are $10 pre-purchased and $12 the day of the event. The event is open to the public 10 years and older. Tour buses are welcome. The event begins at 1 pm and concludes at 5 pm. For more information about the event or information concerning purchasing tickets call 520-439-9405.
